MCA is philosophically and qualitatively different. We have a broad and purposeful view of education. We do much more than teach information. We do much more than teach the subject areas. We teach students how to think, not what to think. We are preparing our students to be virtuous, intelligent citizens who lead in a constitutional democracy, students who think well, write well, and speak well. We believe in pursuing truth, goodness, and beauty, so that we might gain a deeper understanding of the world and live life more authentically. We believe in the classical structure of liberal education that frees human beings to be all they were meant to be. Although we carefully prepare students for college and beyond, it matters not what careers our students choose, whether butcher, baker or candlestick maker; it matters that they live a meaningful life of wisdom and virtue.
