A native of Sulphur, Louisiana, Mrs. Mitchell earned her bachelor’s degree in English from McNeese State University and her master of arts in Teaching from Salem College. She joined MCA in 2019 as an eighth grade English teacher. Mrs. Mitchell has enjoyed more than fifteen years of teaching and tutoring various disciplines in both private and public schools. She and her husband Michael have two adult children who are 20 and 23 years old. In their free time, they enjoy travelling, cooking, hiking, and crafting.
