About Us
We are grounded in classical education which means that we focus on forming the whole child in both knowledge and character so that students are well-prepared for college and career, but most importantly, for all of life. We aim to develop intelligent, virtuous citizens, who read well, write well, speak well, and think well. As an American classical school, we place an emphasis on developing a mature appreciation for our nation’s history and founding principles and a thoughtful patriotism that allows our students to serve as the responsible citizens needed to form a more perfect union. Ultimately, we come alongside you to prepare our students to be their best selves academically, physically, and morally. Our students work hard and have lots of fun along the way!

Times
Schools begins promptly at 8:00AM each day. You may drop off students as early as 7:30. Our lower school students (K-5) dismiss at 2:45PM. Our upper school students (6-12) dismiss at 3:00PM.
Before and After School Care
Lion’s Watch, our before and after school care program, is available from 6:30AM – 7:30AM each school day and from 3:00PM to 6:00PM each afternoon. Lion’s Watch is also available on early dismissal days. Visit our Lion’s Watch Info Page for pricing and more details.
Lunches
You may send your child with a lunch, or you may order monthly through our online system. Most families do both, ordering some days and packing others. We work with various area restaurants that cater to MCA and with other vendors to provide good, daily lunches. Visit our Lunch Info Page for details on how to sign up.
Technology
Our primary and preferred means of education is face-to-face interaction between our teachers and students, but we do issue upper school students (6-12) a Chromebook to help facilitate their education and the learning of basic technology skills needed in the 21st century.
Buses
MCA offers limited bus routes at no cost to the families. To request specific information about transportation, please complete a Bus Transportation Request Form and return it to our lower school office, or feel free to call the school at 336.789.7570.
No Tuition
There is NO TUITION at Millennium Charter Academy! We are a public school, funded by tax dollars. We may ask for small fees, for example, the cost of a field trip or the cost of insurance for the school computer your child takes home, but never for tuition. We are a public school open to all.
