Classical Education is the foundation of our school.
MCA offers a curriculum and culture in the classical, liberal arts tradition founded and practiced for centuries in Western civilization, integrating the humanities, the arts, and the sciences. It is a whole curriculum for the whole person.
The Three Pillars of MCA
Scholarship
From the start, students receive a solid base of content knowledge, interacting with that knowledge in innovative ways. Throughout their years at MCA, students learn to think well about the content they’ve learned and then learn to articulate their own views, speaking well, writing well, and engaging in civil public discourse.
Character
We maintain high aspirations for our student body, highlighted by our Honor Code and our Expectations and Habits posted in every classroom. The goal of our principle-based discipline is the development of strong convictions about truth and virtue in our students.
Community
Whether learning from or contributing to the community, locally or globally, our students use their passions and resources in helping others. Students connect to the community through frequent field trips, raising funds for those in need, or participating in civic activities.
