MCA firmly believes that the arts are a valuable element of the well educated mind. The academy introduces students in kindergarten to great works of music and art and continues this instruction through the middle school. With the completion of the Phase I Expansion, MCA has an instructional art classroom, two art galleries, and a dedicated music room.  

In visual arts, students learn about the elements of art, sculpture, portraits, still lifes, landscapes, photography, architecture, expression and abstraction, works of art from long ago, the Renaissance, Impressionism, Post Impressionism, and 20th century sculpture. They are exposed to Islamic art and architecture, African art, Chinese Art, Japanese Art, and American artwork (Art of a New Nation, Nineteenth century American art, modern American painting).

In music, students are exposed to a wide array of music from jazz to orchestral music as well as  vocal music that includes spirituals and songs from the Baroque, Classical, and Romantic periods. They learn about composers and their music, the elements of music, and vocal ranges.
