"Why donate to a public school?", you might ask. Yes, MCA is a public school, but as a charter school, MCA receives no capital funding from the State of North Carolina. All of the state-of-the-art buildings, labs, and athletic fields come as the result of a long-term, low interest government loan and many generous private donations. It is through generous people and businesses in the community that MCA is able to provide the facility and many of the benefits that go with a high quality education.

"But what difference would my donation make?" Plenty! From small to large, every donation is appreciated and used wisely, and every donation makes a difference for our students. Donations have been used in many areas, from athletics to library books to music instruments to a state-of-the-art science lab.   Won't you make a difference today?

You can make this difference in several ways. One, obviously, is through financial donations. Another is through the use of your time by volunteering to further the cause of the capital campaign. You can also write our State legislators. Please consider downloading this sample letter and editing it to mail to our legislators individually. Addresses for each legislator are listed in this sample letter.

All donations are fully tax deductible within the limits of federal and state laws. You may make a one-time contribution, or your contribution can be pledged and given over a period of one to five years, and the MCA Capital Campaign committe can set up a billing program for you to assist with record keeping..
